NorthernTribe Research is a Kenyan-founded AI & cybersecurity R&D organization developing autonomous defense systems, malware intelligence platforms, and real-time threat response engines. Our Mission

Cybersecurity in Africa is at a turning point. Threats are increasing, skills gaps are widening, and many organizations cannot afford advanced security infrastructure. NorthernTribe Research exists to bridge this gap by developing autonomous, AI-driven cybersecurity systems that protect institutions without requiring massive budgets or large SOC teams.

What We Are Building

Our flagship platform, Synapse AI, is a fully functional autonomous cybersecurity engine capable of:

  • Real-time AI-driven threat detection
  • Automated malware analysis & triage
  • Anomaly detection and behavioral modeling
  • Autonomous incident response
  • Threat intelligence generation & reporting

We also developed ASIS — Artificial Surveillance Intelligent Systems, a surveillance intelligence platform built during collaborative work with teams in Botswana and Namibia. ASIS is pending integration into Namibian road systems, expected to yield revenue during its deployment phase.

Our research is fully working locally — but scaling to production requires access to high-performance compute infrastructure. This includes GPUs, multi-core servers, cloud environments, and secure hosting resources.
